School Ethos and Values

At Woodlands we encourage all children to challenge themselves to achieve more. It is important to us that children develop an independent approach to learning by being resourceful, reciprocal, reflective and resilient. We provide a creative curriculum in which children really enjoy developing and applying the essential basic skills for life-long learning.

We help children to recognise the need for empathy and respect for others both within our school, our local area and in the wider world. Honesty and the courage to share views and opinions are fundamental to our curriculum.

We recognise the importance of working closely with parents and carers to help children develop a confident approach to life, to have high self-esteem and inspire a love of learning in all children.
