Clubs and Enrichment
At Woodlands, we want children to discover new interests, develop their talents and enjoy a wide range of experiences beyond their usual classroom learning.
After-School Clubs
We offer a varied programme of after-school clubs delivered by paid external providers:
- Monday – Cook Stars
- Tuesday – Gymnastics
- Wednesday – Dance
- Thursday – Football
- Friday – Mini Masquerades (drama)
These clubs give children opportunities to be active, creative, work with others and develop new skills. As they are run by external providers, a charge applies. Information about eligible year groups, dates, times, costs and booking arrangements is shared with families by the relevant provider.
Rocksteady Music Club
Rocksteady also runs a music club during the school day, giving children an additional opportunity to enjoy practical music-making and develop their musical confidence. Information about places, costs and booking arrangements is shared separately with families.
Key Stage 1 Enrichment Clubs
From the third week of the Autumn term, every Key Stage 1 pupil will be given a choice of enrichment clubs and will attend one club each week during school hours.
Our enrichment programme is designed to broaden children’s experiences, introduce them to new activities and help them discover interests and talents they may not otherwise encounter. The range of clubs may change during the year, allowing children to enjoy a varied programme of creative, practical, physical and cultural experiences.
These sessions form part of our commitment to providing a broad and memorable education in which every child is encouraged to try something new and “Be the best me I can be.”
